Commuters have been hit by yet more cross-Solent travel disruption this morning (Thursday), this time due to the suspension of Hovertravel’s services. Hovertravel has had to suspend its Ryde-Southsea service due to an undisclosed technical issue. It’s understood just 1 craft is available for operation – Solent Flyer – but that has now developed a fault, leaving the service with no available craft. An update is due at 08:30 but there are no guarantees that services will resume at that time. Tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service in the meantime. Hovertravel apologises for any inconvenience. UPDATE – Services have resumed as of 08:45 from Ryde.
