Hovertravel has been forced to suspend its service for the rest of the day due to a technical issue with the only craft available for operations.
The cross-Solent operator was running with hour-long delays this afternoon (Sunday), but has now announced that all services are suspended.
An undisclosed issue has arisen with Solent Flyer. It is the only craft available to the Ryde-Southsea service as Island Flyer is currently undergoing works at Griffin Hoverwork in Portchester.
Hovertravel says that an update will be provided at 06:00 tomorrow morning (Monday).
In the meantime, tickets are being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service between Ryde Pier Head-Portsmouth Harbour.
UPDATE MONDAY – Services have now resumed.
