FLAG FOOTBALLER LOTTIE LOOKING FOR HELP GETTING TO FINLAND

Local flag footballer Lottie Laidler has been selected to represent Team GB in the World Championships this summer but she needs your help to get there. Having been selected to play for her country, Lottie now needs help to get to the event which is to be held in Lathi, Finland next month. Currently playing for the Coventry Cougars Women’s Team, Lottie also trains with the Wootton-based Wight Raptors. Lottie has played flag football for some 10 years and has been to numerous high-level tournaments on both the national and international stages. She has represented Team GB in 2 European Championships and dreams of making the Olympic team in Los Angeles in 2028 when flag football is to be played in the event for the first time. Despite the growing popularity of the sport throughout the United Kingdom, there are still low levels of funding so athletes have to self-fund their trips and so, as a result, Lottie has set up a GoFundMe page in a bid to raise vital funds.
