UPDATED: FERRY CANCELLATIONS AS TECHNICAL TROUBLES HIT THIS THURSDAY

Red Funnel’s technical woes continue with yet more cancellations on their vehicle ferry service. Due to a technical issue on board Red Osprey, the 07:00 sailing has been cancelled this morning (Thursday), as well as the 08:30 from East Cowes. It’s unclear at this time if further timetabled sailings will be affected as the day progresses. It is the latest in a string of technical issues to hit Red Funnel’s aging ferry fleet but the cross-Solent operator says it may be 4 or 5 years until new ferries arrive. Red Funnel apologises for any inconvenience to your journey. UPDATE @ 09:29 – Red Funnel says that its sailings have now returned to timetable, but delays are being experienced on sailings departing East Cowes.
