Police are seeking the driver of a car after they fled the scene of a crash in the village of Whitwell last night (Saturday). The 2-vehicle collision occurred at just before 21:45 at the junction of Kemming Road and High Street. Both vehicles sustained damage in the smash, with the cars coming to a stop against a stone wall. It’s said that the occupants of one of the vehicles – thought to be 2 males – fled the scene prior to the arrival of officers. Thankfully, no injuries were sustained by the innocent party and no other injuries have been reported. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary says it is conducting enquiries to establish what happened and who was involved.
