The Isle of Wight has struck gold in the English Individual Sporting shooting event in both the male and female categories.
Daniel Bishop took the gold medal in the men’s event with a total of 89.
Remarkably, the Isle of Wight won all 3 medals on offer with Lee Pitman winning silver with 85 and Mark Downer taking bagging bronze with 82.
Jennie Cartwright also won gold in the women’s event, with the Isle of Wight taking silver as well, courtesy of Katie Bishop with 67.
The Isle of Wight has now won 12 gold medals at the Guernsey Island Games with more likely to follow this evening.
