Hovertravel has been forced to suspend its Ryde-Southsea service this afternoon (Tuesday) due to a technical issue. The cross-Solent operator has confirmed that services have been halted due to an issue arising with 1 of its craft, understood to be Solent Flyer. The sister craft, Island Flyer, is also unavailable. Tickets are now being accepted on Wightlink’s Fastcat service, which is expected to be busier as commuters head back home at rush hour. An update is expected at 17:30. UPDATE @ 17:07 – Services will resume at 17:15 from Ryde and 17:30 from Southsea.
