A motorcyclist has escaped with minor injuries following a collision between his motorcycle and a car in Lake this afternoon (Wednesday).
Emergency services were called to reports of a road traffic collision on Newport Road, at the junction with Lamorbey Road, at 13:35.
Island Echo understands a car pulled out on the Kawasaki ZX1400 motorcycle, which led to the biker being thrown over the bonnet.
Amazingly, the biker was able to walk away. He is now being checked over by paramedics from the Isle of Wight Ambulance Service.
Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed minor injuries have been reported.
The road remains open as normal.
