ARREST MADE AFTER REPORTS OF INDECENT EXPOSURE IN TOWN CENTRE

Reports of a man indecently exposing himself in the middle of Ryde Town Centre led to a response from Police. Officers were deployed to St James’ Street, off Lind Street, at just before 10:00 on Friday (16th August). It had been reported to the force’s control room that a male had been seen indecently exposing his genitals. A 40 year-old man was soon arrested on suspicion of exposure. A vehicle parked in the area was also searched. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed that the male has since been released with no further action to be taken.
