25-year-old Amber Gagen has appeared before the courts once again, this time for flouting a Community Protection Notice banning her from contacting another known criminal. The Isle of Wight Magistrates Court heard on Tuesday (20th August) how Gagen, of Green Street in Ryde, was found to be in the company of Amber Banham-Gage on 9th June this year – something she is banned from doing. Liz Miller, prosecuting, detailed to the court how Police had responded to an incident at Church Litten, Newport on that day on a matter unrelated to Gagen. However, because she was in the vicinity, Police took her details and the details of others present. Officers soon realised that Gagen and Banham-Gage were together, thus putting Gagen in breach of a Community Protection Notice. Defending, Oscar Vincent made clear that the offence pre-dated his client’s appearance before the court on 9th July, where she received a 12-month community order with 20 rehabilitation days attached. Mr Vincent said that Gagen was simply a spectator to what else was going on. Magistrates fined the 25-year-old £40 and ordered her to pay a £16 surcharge.

Sadly there is so much scum on the island thesedays
I can remember when the island was a safe
place, sadly not anymore.
Wow, £40 quid – that’s really going to bother her!!!!
Totally unfair, get a parking ticket in Sainsbury’s or Lidl is more. People who break the law should be punished much more. Our laws seem to be on side of law breakers all the time, free legal aid, food and beverages while in warm cell at police station etc. probably even claimed bus fare to Court..
Scum everywhere on the island I see the scum everyday, and what do the police do f all.
Church Litten is a hub of drunk, no-hope, drug-tacking losers! I hate walking my children through there as there’s always something kicking off. It should be a no-drinking location which is policed. These people are of no use to society and blow all their benefits on drink and drugs!
