2 CARS INVOLVED IN LATE NIGHT SMASH IN SHANKLIN

No injuries were sustained when a car collided with another in Shanklin late last night (Sunday). Police closed Shanklin Road between Cemetery Road (Green Lane) and Wilton Park Road at around 23:30 as a result of a 2-car smash. The incident, involving a Vauxhall Corsa and another vehicle, occurred near to Skew Bridge. Hampshire & Isle of Wight Constabulary has confirmed no injuries have been reported. Motorists and Southern Vectis Route 3 buses were diverted for a time, but the road has since re-opened.
