The Cowes Floating Bridge has been pulled from service this rush hour amid reported technical issues. The troubled Floating Bridge No.6 has come to a halt on the East Cowes side of the River Medina this afternoon (Thursday). It’s unclear how long the service is to remain suspended for. The usual foot passenger launch will be in operation shortly. UPDATE FRIDAY – The Isle of Council says that an electrical issue is to blame for the suspension of service. Contractors have been called and it’s hoped that the issue will be resolved within the next 24 hours.
