CROSS-SOLENT DISRUPTION CONTINUES AS WIGHTLINK CANCEL WEDNESDAY FASTCAT SAILINGS

Wightlink has cancelled 4 sailings on its Fastcat service tomorrow (Wednesday) due to essential maintenance.

The 11:15 and 22:45 sailings from Portsmouth Harbour have been pulled alongside the 11:45 and 23:10 from Ryde Pier Head.

FastCat tickets will be accepted on Wightlink’s Fishbourne-Portsmouth car ferry service for these sailings and a shuttle service will operate from Fishbourne to Ryde Pier Head from 22:30-01:00.

Wightlink apologises for any inconvenience this may cause, but the firm says this action is necessary to ensure that their vessels can continue to operate to the highest standard.

Have to .admit it is very ad
hoc re services to the outer Mongolia ( oops sorry the iow)
Who what why are our services so ridiculous ??????
The prices we pay are ridiculous…
But we are held hostage due the ferry operators, who deem it acceptable to rip us off , cancel sailings ,when it suits them .
Totally irrational,…..

you aren’t held hostage – you are free to purchase a ticket and move to the mainland, thus removing the issue of the stretch of water

Wightlink’s only service their shareholders .. customers mean nothing .. and when they don’t want to provide a service ..they will and we can do nothing about it .. all operating unreliable assets, cheaply built.

How odd, only the late night sailings affected again? If they don’t want to run them, just pull them from the timetable and stop messing regular commuters around. This has been the same for past 2 months now.

I guess cancelling a commuter time sailing would be preferable for you, affecting many more people?
