YACHT TOWED INTO HARBOUR AFTER POT MARKER SNAG

yarmouthrnlinight400Yarmouth RNLI came to the aid of a yacht off of the West Wight coast last night (Friday) after the vessel became snagged on a lobster pot marker.

The RNLI All Weather Lifeboat was tasked to launch at just gone 22:00 making its way around to Fort Albert, where it was discovered the 35ft yacht ‘Free Spirit’ had got a line wrapped around its prop and rudder.

Attaching a tow line, the ALB towed the stricken yacht into the safety of Yarmouth Harbour in under an hour.
