Passengers on board Southern Vectis buses were forced to walk into Shanklin yesterday (Saturday) after the wheel of a Fiat Punto detached from the car, blocking the road.
Cowleaze Hill between Shanklin and Ventnor was closed for a short time when the Blue Fiat became stranded in the middle of the carriageway on a corner near to Church Road.
Emergency services were called to the incident shortly before 16:30 yesterday afternoon (Saturday).
There are no reported injuries.
