A 15-year-old boy has been arrested on the Island following an alleged assault on another teenager in Newport.
Police are continuing to investigate the allegation of assault on a 17-year-old victim, who was attacked by three people in Sea Street at around 4pm on Thursday 14th June 2012.
The young man received cuts, bruising and swelling to his face and ribs.
The following day, a 15-year-old was arrested on suspicion of assault causing actual bodily harm (ABH). He was questioned and bailed until July 11, 2012 pending further inquiries.
