UPDATED: This coming week could be yet another stormy one for the Isle of Wight with the potential of multiple storms developing, according to Island-based weather forecasters Isle of Wight Weather (IOWW).
With settled conditions today, things will start to go downhill again tomorrow (Tuesday) with some heavy rain pushing in during the morning and some strong winds, possibly reaching gale force. Wednesday progresses with some showery rain around but this will become heavier as the winds start to increase during the afternoon. During the evening, the winds start to become severe reaching 60mph or 70mph at times with the risk of some even stronger gusts.
Thursday is very uncertain at the moment. A small but potent secondary low pressure may develop and push in from the west, which could cause some adverse conditions and further disruption to the Island.
Strong winds once again reaching 70mph or 80mph, possibly even stronger in some places, are possible for Friday and Saturday.
UPDATED: The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning for heavy rain for both tomorrow (Tuesday) and Friday.
