Ventnor Arts Club are tonight (Saturday) presenting mainland based singer songwriter STINA, playing the club for the second time and back by popular request.
A classically trained singer, cellist, pianist and self-taught guitarist and songwriter, STINA is a graduate of The Royal College of Music and writes and arranges all her own material. With soft, floating vocals, catchy tunes and accompanying herself from guitar and ukulele to piano, she brings lyrical ballad together with new age folk. During this performance STINA will be playing guitar and singing a variety of her new and older songs in the intimate and very special atmosphere of the club.
Speaking about tonight’s performance, Stina said:
“It’s a year since I first played at the lovely Ventnor Arts Club and I can’t think of a better time to visit again. It’s the start of summer, an intimate gig a week before the scale of festival and tracks from my new EP to share. I can’t wait”
Recorded at Metropolis in West London, STINA recently released her debut EP ‘Call the Guard’ which has been played as a BBC Introducing selection on BBC Local Radio and BBC Three Counties Radio. You can look forward to hearing tracks from the EP and it is of course for sale at the gig.
The concert is free to members of Ventnor Arts Club and just £3 for non-members. Tickets can be bought online via www.ventnorartsclub.com or on the door.
