STARS AND PROFESSIONALS PREPARE FOR ICE SPECTACULAR

professionalsonicelaunch40AUDIO: The UK’s most exciting ice show is to appear on the Isle of Wight next month with a fantastic star studded cast of skaters formerly of the ITV hit series Dancing on Ice.

The Professionals on Ice will return to Planet Ice’s Ryde Arena on 24th & 25th October with a medley of professional skaters and celebrity star appearances including former Eastenders star Sam Attwater, who today (Monday) visited three local schools with his newly-wed wife and Ice professional, Vicky Ogden, to launch this year’s event.

Sam, who took victory in Dancing on Ice back in 2011, went to Dover Park Primary, St Mary’s Primary and Ryde Academy to talk to students about the show, professional skating and to help introduce the sport to the next generation.

professionalsonicelaunch003Meeting local skaters this lunchtime, professionals Frankie, Vicky Ogden and Matt Evers gave the youngsters an idea of what to expect from the big show, which will include skating groups from the Island. The group posed for photographs as rehearsals well and truly get underway for the big event in less than 5 weeks time.

professionalsonicelaunch004Professional skaters are set to include Alexandra Schauman, Maria Filippov, Brianne Delcourt, Robin Johnstone, Mark Hanretty, Andy Buchanan, Lukasz Rozycki, Michael Zenezini and of course Vicky Ogden, Matt Evers and Frankie (pictured left with Matt).

Matt Evers said:

“After the success of last years ‘Break Out’ tour, we are so excited to be back on the road again this Autumn. With no more ‘Dancing on Ice’, The Professionals On Ice will be your only ice skating fix and we are putting together a more amazing production this year. A few new famous faces and even better skating!”.
