SCAM CALL WARNING

scamtelephoneThe Island’s trading standards service has received some calls about a scam involving phone calls to people’s home from someone claiming to be from Age Concern’s Sandown Branch.

The caller, who has an Indian accent, asks for cash donations to be made. This is a scam and is not a genuine call.

Age Concern is now called Age UK, it does not have a Sandown branch, and the organisation does not use Indian call centres.
