hongkongexpressFollowing an Isle of Wight Council regulatory committee review today (Tuesday), a number of conditions have been put in place on a popular Ryde restaurant’s licence.

A series of incidents of customers becoming drunk at Hong Kong Express on Ryde Esplanade forced Hampshire Constabulary to call for a review of the existing licencing conditions.

The committee agreed today that Hong Kong Express (Ryde only) will not sell alcohol to any persons after midnight, 7 days a week and will not allow more than 10 customers to be present on the premises at one time after 01:00.
