UPDATED: Police were called following the discovery of a body in Pier Street, Sandown this morning (Wednesday).
It is understood the deceased was found in the shower of a bathroom at the Royal Pier Hotel.
The discovery is not being treated as suspicious and the body has been taken away by private ambulance.
It is understood the deceased is a male holidaymaker visiting from Canada.
