Staff from Curry’s and PC World in Newport are set to walk 75 miles around the Island carrying a washing machine to raise money for the Isle of Wight’s independent lifeboats.
The team of walkers will start on the 20th July at the store on Riverway Industrial Estate in Newport and will work their way round the Island over six days, finishing back in Newport on 26th July.
The staff members are hoping to raise over £2000 to purchase new equipment for the Island’s Independent Lifeboats of Ryde, Sandown and Freshwater.
The team have worked with their suppliers and have some great raffle prizes, tickets for which can be purchased in store and also as the team walk round the Island. The prizes includes a Hotpoint washing machine, a Dyson hoover, a Samsung tablet, a Samsung teleivision, a HP printer and a digital camera.
The draw will take place after the walk is completed.
