A new Subway store has opened its doors in Ryde today (Wednesday) on the site of the former Julian Graves’ store in the High Street.
The fast food outlet, which is the second for the town, is owned by franchisee James Whitmore and has generated up to 15 new jobs for the local economy – a total of 25 across the two stores.
James took over the existing Union Street Subway in November 2011 with his goal to improve the existing business. To be in a position to open his second store shows the success he has had since taking over the first.
Commenting on the opening, James said:
“We have achieved this growth through warm customer service, passion for what we do and consistent hard work.
“I chose the new High Street site partly because it had been non-trading for 18 months and putting a store there would contribute to the local economy.”
Giveaway offers are being made available today including buy any drink and get a free 6 inch Sub between 11:00 and 15:00 only. The store will be open between 06:00 and 23:00 most days.
The new store is located at 25 High Street, next to Costa Coffee and opposite Hobbs the jewelers.
