ONCE a Royal residence, Barton Manor in East Cowes has sold for a staggering £9 million.
The Grade II manor, which was once part of Queen Victoria’s Osborne Estate, has been sold to online entrepreneur Alex Haig-Thomas of Virtue Media Limited.
Mr Haig-Thomas has grabbed five bedrooms, a barn, a gym, tennis pavilion and court, a billiard room, tea rooms, a variety of function rooms as well as offices and a two-bed cottage.
The 202-acre estate, which was originally remodeled by Prince Albert, has blasted through it’s £6 million guide price given by luxury agents Sothebys and Knight Frank.
