A yellow weather warning for severe weather has been issued by the Met Office for the duration of tomorrow (Monday).
Residents across the Island are being warned that between 00:15 tomorrow morning and 23:00 tomorrow night, bands of rain, often heavy, will move across Southern England including the Isle of Wight. At times the heavy rain will be accompanied by strong northeasterly winds gusting up to 50mph.
The rain will clear from the southeast by the morning, but further heavy and slow moving showers are likely to occur throughout the day, at times thundery.
Flooding is possible with motorists being warned about excess surface water and unpleasant driving conditions.
