CCTV needs to be installed to prevent such crimes taking place.

The council stopped the use of cctv because it couldn’t justify it’s cost within it’s limited budget. With the government reducing what they allocate, the only option would be to increase local taxes and that would be very unpopular.

So you’re defending the council’s decision to cut CCTV because they haven’t been given as much money from the government yet the council spend hundreds of thousands on pointless other things for example resurfacing their own car park or re vamping their website or throwing millions at the floating bridge. CCTV will bring crime levels down reducing stress on the police and providing vital evidence in prosecution. You clearly work for the council

Why can’t they cut some of their HUGE salaries or annual bonuses? That would be very popular.

Care to give an example of any council employee getting any bonus let alone an annual one!

That costs money and the Tories want to buy the next election with a tax cut, never going to happen.
