Yarmouth RNLI’s volunteer lifeboat crew were paged by Solent Coastguard to assist a 34ft yacht on a late night shout on Tuesday evening.
The crew launched within minutes of the emergency call in the All Weather Lifeboat (ALB) before heading to the stricken vessel located 4 miles South West of The Needles, having been caught and disabled on a pot marker.
The lifeboat arrived along side the casualty boat at 23:26 and once the two crew onboard were checked over for injuries, a tow line was established and the yacht and her two occupants were towed back to Yarmouth arriving along side the harbour safely at 02:15 on Wednesday morning.
