Some of the first packages to be delivered free have been the t-shirts for the Hospice’s Challenge 1000 campaign, where they are looking for 1000 people to accept the challenge to raise £100 for patient care.
The Earl Mountbatten Hospice is the Island’s only hospice and supports over 1,800 patients and their families, during the most vulnerable times of their lives.
Alba Lewis, Director of Income Generation for EMH said:
“Hovertravel has provided a significant amount of support over the years to the Hospice and this latest initiative will make Hovertravel one of our largest sponsors.
“We are very excited to be able to use their excellent freight service to help our fundraising activities and day-to-day operations”.
Neil Chapman, Managing Director of Hovertravel, adds:
“As the fastest express shipping service across the Solent, we are delighted to partner with the Earl Mountbatten Hospice and support their work on the Island.”
Hovertravel’s freight business delivers parcels across from Southsea to Ryde and vice versa in just less than ten minutes. There are convenient drop off and collection points within the reception areas at both Hovertravel terminals.
