Holidaymakers heading for the Isle of Wight this summer will get a special welcome on board Wightlink car ferries sailing from Portsmouth to Fishbourne.
The company has employed an enthusiastic team to greet customers, answer any questions they might have about the crossing or the Island and talk about attractions, festivals and forthcoming events.
One of the team is 20-year-old Ben Rue from Shanklin, who is also a hobbyist photographer who has captured some great photos of the Wightlink ferries, as used by Island Echo.
He said:
“I used to love coming to the island on family holidays when I was young, now I’m lucky enough to live here,” he says. “I’m really looking forward to telling people what makes the Isle of Wight special.”
Head of Fleet Operations Elwyn Dop added:
“We know holidays begin for families when they board our ferries so we thought we would make their journeys even more special this summer. There is so much to see and do on the Isle of Wight and our cabin attendants will help them make the most of their hard-earned break.”
Cabin attendants will be rostered to work across the week from today (3rd April) until September: one will be on duty on each ferry from early to late seven days a week.
