A historic World War II Lancaster Bomber made a rare appearance over the skies of Cowes today (Monday) when it made three fly-pasts over the seaside town.
Hundreds turned out to watch the four great Rolls-Royce Merlin engines roar above the Solent shortly after 14:30.
The extra special visit was part of the Maritime Festival being held in Southampton and Cowes this bank holiday weekend.
Crowds packed both Cowes and East Cowes esplanades in the glorious sunshine.
