gcseresultsRyde School is delighted that its students have secured another set of excellent results at GCSE this year.

The overall results are very good: 47% of entries were A*/A and, as last year, 95% of all entries were above a C grade. 93% of pupils achieved 5 or more A* to C grades with 70% achieving grades that included Maths, English, Science, a Humanity and a Modern Language and so satisfying the requirements for the EBacc.

Statistics only tell part of the story and many individuals have achieved results of which they can be justly proud. This year’s highest performers were Daniella Sauven, with 11 A* grades, and Sally Lamb with 10 A* grades.

Meanwhile, pupils at Sandown Bay Academy are also celebrating as 47% of students have provisionally achieved the magical A* to C pass. Over at Prior Bay School in Whippingham, all students left with at least 8 GCSEs.

Results are not expected from Medina and Carisbrooke College’s until next week.

Congratulations to them all.
