Visit Isle of Wight, the Island’s Destination Management Organisation, are looking at a variety of ideas to help increase the amount of visitors choosing the Isle of Wight as their holiday destination and are now asking local residents what they think could help boost the Island’s economy and pull in not only the summer trade, but pull in visitors throughout the year.
Interacting with Twitter users, the DMO’s David Thornton has suggested a water park should be built on the Island, which has been met with some encouraging support. Other Twitter users have suggested off-road quad bike safaris, an indoor activity swimming pool, a waterslide down Union Street and investment in Ryde as a gateway town on the whole.
