The award is given to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding reviews from customers on the popular travel website. To achieve the prestigious accolade, the Fountain has consistently maintained very high ratings on TripAdvisor.
Lawrence Griffin, manager at the Fountain, part of Old English Inns, said:
“We know that customers rely on the honest feedback they can get online on websites like TripAdvisor. We strive every day to keep our customers happy and every single positive review means a great deal to the entire team.”
“I would like to thank everyone that took the time to post their feedback.”
The historic inn on the High Street dates back to the late 18th century, and was once host to Thomas Jefferson, third president of the United States. The 2014 Certificate of Excellence cements the Old English Inns’ hard-earned reputation locally for offering classic pub dishes at great prices.
Peter Hebblethwaite, business unit director for Old English Inns, said:
“This is a tremendous achievement and a real source of pride for everyone working at the Fountain. The team works tirelessly to deliver the value, service and quality that is expected of Old English Inns and I would like to congratulate them all.”
