The Island’s NHS trust is launching a public campaign this week to gain support for its vision of becoming a Foundation Trust by April 2014.
The trust is facing the possibility of some services being broken up and managed by their mainland counterparts, however it is hoped that as many services as possible will have control retained locally.
By becoming a Foundation Trust, it allows Island residents to have a say on the health service as it would become a membership organisation, allowing financial freedoms and reinvestment.
