TWO stables in the Thorness area have been ransacked over the weekend resulting in the theft of thousands of pounds worth of horse equipment.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary are continuing their investigations today following reports received of two burglaries at stables in West Cowes and Thorness.
It is understood that the thefts took place sometime between Saturday evening and Monday morning.
