A driver had a lucky escape yesterday morning (Saturday) when they hit suspected black ice, rolling their 4×4 over a hedge and into a field.
The unknown driver was travelling on the main Niton-Newport road at the time of the incident.
Stag Lane Motors lifted the Suzuki 4×4 using a crane before righting the vehicle.
Thanks to the specialist recovery by the Stag Lane team, the vehicle may not be an insurance write-off.
Police closed the road for a short time to allow a safe recovery.
