A spokesman for Wightlink has said:
“We’ve had to make some changes to our timetable on Friday 25 April, Monday 28 April and Friday 2 May. This is because we’re carrying out essential maintenance to one of our ships on these dates.
“We wouldn’t normally schedule maintenance on busy days, but we’ve had to on this occasion because other maintenance has taken longer than expected and we need to fit in with the availability of facilities at dry docks.
“We will continue to provide a frequent service on this route throughout the day with three ferries, see our website for full details.
“We’ve contacted those customers who were booked to travel on the cancelled sailings and transferred them to alternative crossings but we’d like to take this opportunity to apologise for the inconvenience caused by the unavoidable changes to our maintenance schedule.”
