You have to ask, how did this happen? Max speed limit 30 mph….Very narrow bridge that large and small vehicles pass each other, when I drive over that bridge, my speed is around 20mph….

There are so many crashes currently here?!
What is going on? I read the news and just feel glad I didn’t go this or that way as intended when I hear about it all.
It’s frightening going out, I wonder if some of the weed smokers that are also stinking out ouf towns and car parks have anything to do with it, it’s vile just walking through the high street in Ryde in broad daylight currently, the island has deteriorated over the past few years.

So many stupid stupid stupid stupid drivers on this island. You risk your life every time you drive up any street because of all the drugged and drunk idiots on the roads. Anyone caught drug or drink driving should get 25 years in jail because they are potential murderers.

Since HMG made breeding profitable to gain a free home and very good ‘income’ for life, now we are reaping the rewards of this failed policy.

For selfish, ignorant pushy ‘world owes me a living cos i got a kid’ type, drive as they live their state paid for lives, by bullying others to drive faster, or overtaking dangerously, or pulling out too soon, as ‘they’ are in a fake ‘hurry’ to drop the sprogs off at school so they can hurry home to get back on the weed, playstation or social media or do their ‘deals’

Yet all kept for by FULL time working people, as IF they work at all, just min 16 hours to claim max benefits and gain free rent and c.tax. and hundreds a week in ‘top up’ universal credit.

Thumbs down OK as truth hurts.

I get your point on some things like very dangerous driving over here etc but really where is the proof it is everyone on benefits come on now
if you have proof do something about it working or not

Regrettably you perhaps do not realise that these comments are frequently used as opportunities for ignorant, often semi literate misanthropes to vent their negative feelings about life in general.

At least they too will be able to join the masses once the baby is born and live well in a semi retirement state by cutting down the hours needed to maintain a good life if renting.

Hope all are OK for the NHS is struggling with ill people and accidents add to the woes for all.

I.V.Y. Searle, are you employed? Did you hand back child benefit for any children you had? Are you going to not claim your state pension? Did you hand back your cost of living payments last winter?

Roz, FYI, and Mike,

I am not saying that this particular accident was caused by a part time worker, able to do so ‘because’ they have burdened the state with children to then be funded by others, but many are able to afford a car BECAUSE they have children. Try living on just single persons unemployment, and you won’t be able to afford a car, UNLESS you have children.

Mike I am not complaining about the ‘child allowance of £20 per week. WHAT I am saying is these people get that for each child, THEN provided ONE of the parents can be bothered to do 16 hours a week, they then get their wage and have it ‘made up’ to hundreds a week, AS WELL as getting free or heavily subsidised rent and council tax.

Ivy, I think many on here doth protest too loudly.

Likely hit a raw nerve with your well supported astute posting of why many accidents do occur on this Island now filled with benefit, part time work, state funded younger generation tenants.

Years back all you got was child allowance, not as you say, they only need work a few hours, then doss at home all winter, beach all summer, and can still afford a car, as there rent, and poll tax all paid for, so more spare cash than them working a proper full time working week

The voting on this site is very suspicious?

You and Fyi and Roz make reasonable comments in response to well known troll, Searle, and are massively downvotes, yet Seale, as always get huge upvotes, while everyone else has a regular number of votes either way.

TRUE freedom of speech is shown when people don’t HAVE to give their names such as on boards like this.

Hence most thought Brexit vote would be ‘remain’ but as was seen, OFTEN the huge silent majority AREN’T as stupid as the media portrays them to be.

As we see with Mr Trump, people are SICK of imms, scroungers, fake news, hence his and Ivy’s popularity.

Just because YOU are brainwashed don’t think all the Island’s population is… YET

widget I expect you are the sort who thought the Brexit vote should have been retaken until the result fitted with your own wishes.

Plenty of beings like you abound, thankfully democracy even if speech freedom is lost, still hangs in here. A lot of my mates like Ivys open way of saying what many many people think and believe to be so.

16 hours don’t apply to universal credit, working age people do have to pay a % of Council tax, working or not. If working and receiving hundreds of pounds in top up UC they will not get free rent. That’s
the truth, does that hurt?

So many aggressive drivers on the roads these days. Loads of tailgating and drivers right up your arse. Most people don’t realise the stopping distance at 40mph is 36m and not 6m. No wonder there are so many accidents can’t see it improving any when soon.

It is traditional in England to drive on the left hand side of the road, a nuance sadly not appreciated by many drivers.

Strange how a car crash can turn into who’s getting benefits etc. Dont worry folks, government has a solution for you all. UBI! They are trails are on going at the moment in wales and other places. Wont say no more,as I will get the normal abuse that I’m a conspiracy tin hat wearer. Just google Universal Basic Income.

Much to early to say how it happened or draw conclusions about the drivers. Certainly at least one driver was at fault and should get a long ban and a taco fitted to every vehicle they drive for life. Bad drivers are bad drivers and always reoffend, whether caught or not.
