Wight Energy has been nominated for a chance to be named not only the ‘Best UK Electrician’ but is now also in the running to receive the overall award, ‘The UK’s Best Trader 2014’. launched the UK Trade Awards 2014 to promote and champion the work of local traders all over the UK in a bid to try and change perceptions and all entries will be promoted through their communication platforms in order to encourage local business growth to help the country to get back on its feet.

Speaking about why he should win the overall award, Sales and Marketing Manager for the company, said:

“We operate across the Island and in Bournemouth, Southampton, Portsmouth and Brighton and are proud to say that we are a family run business, operating for over seven years now.

“The company founders, Brian Bailey and Ben Lansley have worked hard to create a local business whose customers are at the forefront of any job.

“The quality service our engineers provide has earned us the privilege to work as the preferred contractor for some of the UK’s big names in retail, public houses, restaurants, groceries, supermarkets, insurance plus many more.

“80% of our residential work comes in from either customer referral or from our existing clients and we are confident in the standard of work we produce. Our residential customer base has expanded month on month throughout the South Coast which reflects our level of quality service.

“Winning this award would only confirm to us that we are doing things right and we have our customers to thank for continuing to support us.”

The top nominees for each trade will be invited to an awards ceremony, where winners will be announced and prizes given out.

Trades that are being recognised are builders, carpenters and joiners, electricians, painters and decorators, plumbers, roofers, tilers, fence installers, plasterers, window and door fitters, flooring and carpet fitters and landscape gardeners. Entries received from other local trades will also be considered to receive an award.

All individual winners will then also be in the running to receive the overall winner award and be crowned The UK’s Best Trader 2014′.
