Residents in Ryde are being urged to check their cars for damage this morning (Wednesday) after a number of vehicles were broken into overnight.
Police were called to the St Johns Road area of Ryde Town after witnesses saw three people breaking into a series of cars parked in George Street and Warwick Street, sparking fears that other vehicles or property in the area may have been targeted.
It is understood at least 2 vehicles were damaged in Warwick Street, connecting St Johns Road and Park Road.
Officers from Hampshire Constabulary arrested three unknown persons in nearby Prince Street last night.
