A new befriending service is set to launch on the Isle of Wight.
F2F is designed for parents of children recently diagnosed or still in the process of trying to get a diagnosis for a child of a disability.
The volunteer befrienders who’re just coming to the end of their training now are all parents of children with disabilities themselves and so can truly empathise and understand the emotions of where a new parent is at.
Organisers have planned a launch event for the service on Wednesday June 20th between 10am-12pm at the Riverside Centre, Newport.
There’ll be a free buffet lunch and a chance to meet the scheme coordinator and volunteers.
