Local band ‘Reminders’ are to release their debut 4-track EP ‘Water Sports and Major Cities’ through the Island’s indie label Chalkpit Records on Thursday (6th July).

The band have been recording the album at Studio 5A in Northwood over the last 6 months and are now set to release it in style with a launch show at new music venue, Strings.

Southampton-based indie pop band ‘The Manatees’ and the Island’s emerging indie bands ‘Freazy’ and ‘Avocado Sunrise’ will support the EP launch at Strings in Newport on Friday (7th July) at 19:30.

Leo Dyke, lead singer of Reminders said:

‘‘We are all super excited about our EP Launch. We have been working on this for some time now and to finally be able to release it for people to hear is amazing.

“The launch show on Friday 7th July at Strings Bar and Venue is set to be an awesome night of emerging music hosted by Chalkpit Records who we have been working incredibly close with on the release of this record”.
