A brand new seaside event is making waves to the Island at the beginning of June, bringing back sporting action to Yaverland in Sandown.
Aqua Adrenaline will bring a variety of on and off the water activities back to the popular beach on 1st June following the demise of WightAir several years ago. Although just a sample event for 2014, it is hoped that the action will return year on year and grow in size.
The adrenaline tour will also visit Liverpool, Plymouth, Torquay and Westbay throughout this Summer with plans to expand the Isle of Wight leg into a weekend festival for 2015.
With Powerboat, Zapcat and Seacraft demonstrations, sand yachting, flyboarding and zorbing plus a mix of trade stands, charities and local businesses there will be plenty to do for the whole family. Entertainment will also be on offer alongside an Island Ales beer tent and food from Island Foods. Big Screen Media will also be providing a large screen so the action can be viewed from every angle with the one-day event being filmed.
An exclusive discount has been offered by organisers for Island residents and visitors alike to participate in a brand new craze – flyboarding. Strap yourself to an aqua-powered jet pack and fly into the air in true James Bond style for just £90, a massive saving of £30.00. More information can be found on the Aqua Adrenaline website at www.aquaadrenaline.co.uk or by visiting www.aquaticjetpacks.com.
The event, part-organised by Brading resident Tony Gibbs, is being run in support of the Sandown and Shanklin Independent Lifeboat and the Isle of Wight Footprint Trust.
