policeinvestigate400Police on the Isle of Wight are this week appealing for members of the public to come forward with information after two men were seen to be fronting up to each other in the street in a suspected incident of public disorder.

Officers are investigating reports of two men fronting up to each other while holding poles in the Gordon Road area near Mill Hill Road, Cowes on Sunday 26th October.

Although there is no confirmation of any assault, victims or injuries during the incident, which happened at around 14:30, witnesses reported concern about what could have happened.

The first male has been described as white, around 6ft tall and of skinny build. He was wearing a green parker jacket and jeans.

The second male is described as white, approximately 5ft 5″ tall and of stocky build. He was waring a grey jumper and jeans.

Witnesses or anyone with information are asked to contact PC Angela Wood at Newport police station by phoning 101. Information can be given be anonymously by phoning the independent Crimestoppers charity on 0800 555 111.
