Back in October…
An Island Waste rubbish lorry rolled onto its side at the junction of Medina Way and the Fairlee Road slipway onto the dual carriageway, trapping one occupant inside the vehicle.
Two appliances from the Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service as well as the Rescue Tender from Newport Fire Station were called to the scene and worked to free the casualty from the wreckage by removing the windscreen.
No one was seriously injured in the incident, which resulted in a large recovery operation.
In other news, immigration officers raided a car wash in Ryde following an information tip-off.
Teams from the mainland traveled to the popular hand car wash in Monkton Street, Ryde before arresting three illegal workers, who tried to escape arrest.
