Richie Woodburn has said goodbye to Cowes Sports Football Club after 5 years as the first team’s manager.

The club have ‘ended their association’ with Woodburn, resulting in Ian Potts taking charge for the remainder of the season. It comes following a 6-0 defeat against Portland United at the weekend.

In a statement issued yesterday, the club said:

“Cowes Sports Football Club have ended their association with Richie Woodburn, the Manager of their First team.

“We would like to take this opportunity to thank Richie and his family for all the hard work and commitment they have given to the Club throughout his time at Westwood. We wish him good luck for the future.

“Richie’s assistant, Ian Potts will take charge of the First team for the remainder of the season.”
