TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 20th October 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mill Lane, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Friday 27 October 2017 and Tuesday 31 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Mill Lane, between its junctions with Wolverton Lane and Chine Lane.  The alternative route is Mill Lane, New Road, Park Lane, Pound Lane and Chine Lane.  The closure is for drainage repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pursley Close, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Friday 27 October 2017 and Tuesday 31 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pursley Close, between its junctions with Merry Gardens and the end of the highway.  There is no alternative route.  The closure is for iron work repairs.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Avenue Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 30th October 2017 until 1700 hours on Friday 3 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Avenue Road, between its junctions with Wilton Park Road and Arthurs Hill.  The alternative route is Wilton Park Road, Atherley Road and Arthurs Hill.  The closure is for replacement frame works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Lynch Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 30th October 2017 until 1600 hours on Friday 10 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lynch Lane, between its junctions with Moortown Lane and Strawberry Lane.  The alternative route is Upper Lane, Main Road, Hunny Hill, B3399, Brooke Shute, Brook Road, B3401, Newport Road and Lynch Lane.  The closure is for carriageway investigation works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between Friday 27 October 2017 and Friday 22 December 2017, for the following roads will be closed for both days and nights for a period of approximately 6-8 weeks to enable the next planned programme of road reconstruction to be completed.

No vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs. The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  Access for residents will be restricted but maintained where possible. • The Isle of Wight Council (Parklands Avenue, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 3 2017 – will be closed between Crossfield Avenue and Park Road. The alternative route is Park Road, Baring Road and Crossfield Avenue.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 27th October 2017 and Friday 8th December 2017. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Elenors Grove and Quarr Hill, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 2 2017 – will be closed between Fishbourne Lane and Newnham Road.  The alternative route is Binstead Hill, Binstead Road, Argyll Street, Green Street, St Johns Road, St Johns Hill, Alexandra Road, Appley Road, Marlborough Road, Brading Road, A3055, Beaper Shute, Rowborough Lane, High Street, New Road, Moreton Road, Broadway, Lake Hill, Sandown Road, Newport Road, A3056, Arreton Street, Downend Road, Briddlesford Road, Station Road, High Street and Kite Hill.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bonchurch Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2017 – will be closed between Cowleaze Hill and Leeson Road.  The alternative route is Leeson Road, St Boniface Road, Mitchell Avenue, Ocean View Road, Newport Road, Clarence Road, High Street, St Johns Road, Shanklin Road, Victoria Avenue, High Street and Church Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mill Hill Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 2 2017 – will be closed between Newport Road and Birmingham Road.  The alternative route is Beckford Road, Gordon Road and Mill Hill b) Medina Road, Bridge Road, Arctic Road, Newport Road and Mill Hill Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Birmingham Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order No 2 2017 – the one way will be revoked between Mill Hill Road and Beckford Road.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (Burnt House Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one way between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 23 October 2017 and Wednesday 25 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Burnt House Lane, between its junctions with Pan Lane and Downend Road.  The alternative route is Downend Road, Long Lane, Staplers Road, Snooks Hill, Coppins Bridge, St Georges Way and Burnt House Lane.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St David’s Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 23 October 2017 and Wednesday 25 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along St David’s Road, between its junctions with Upper Yarborough Road and the end of the highway.  There is no alternative route.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (George Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23 October 2017 until 1600 hours Wednesday 25 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along George Street, between its junctions with Castle Street and Melville Street.  The alternative route is Esplanade, Dover Street and Melville Street.  The closure is for utility maintenance works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (George Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23 October 2017 until 1600 hours Wednesday 25 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the one-way restriction will be temporarily revoked along George Street, between its junctions with Castle Street and Melville Street. The alternative route is Esplanade, Dover Street and Melville Street.  The revocation is to allow access to premise and businesses whilst utility maintenance works are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mayfield Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 until 1800 hours on Tuesday 24 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Mayfield Road, between its junctions with St Vincent’s Road and Pell Lane.  The alternative route is Pellhurst Road and Pell Lane.  The closure is for frame replacement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Mayfield Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 until 1800 hours on Tuesday 24 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the one-way restriction will be temporarily revoked Mayfield Road, between its junctions with St Vincent’s Road and Pell Lane.  The alternative route is Pellhurst Road and Pell Lane.  The revocation is to allow access to premises and businesses whilst frame replacement works are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Victoria Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23 October 2017 until 1700 hours Friday 27 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Victoria Road, between its junctions with Fellows Road and Moorgreen Road.  The alternative route is Moorgreen Road and Bellevue Road.  The closure is for sewer maintenance works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Whitwell Road, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23 October 2017 until 1600 hours Wednesday 25 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Whitwell Road, between its junctions with Roud Road and Southford Lane.  The alternative route is Whitwell Road, West Street, School Road, High Street, Shanklin Road, St Johns Road, High Street, Clarence Road and Gills Cliff Road.  The closure is for new utility connection works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Winchester Park Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 23 October 2017 until 1800 hours Sunday 29 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Winchester Park Road, between its junctions with Grove Road and Broadway. The alternative route is Grove Road and Broadway.  The closure is for utility maintenance works.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 21 of the Town Police Clause Act 1847, proposes to make the following Orders:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 9 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 1030 hours until 1230 hours on Saturday 28 October 2017, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; Station Street, Newport Street, High Street Anglesea Street, High Street and Lind Street. The closure is required for safety during the Ryde County Poppy Appeal Event. The diversion will be signposted locally.
