TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 23rd February 2018

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pomona Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 5 March 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 9 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Pomona Road, between its junctions with High Street and Salem Road. The alternative route is High Street, Victoria Road and Salem Road.  The closure is required for a new utility connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pomona Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 5 March 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 9 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the one-way restriction will be revoked along Pomona Road, between its junctions with High Street and Salem Road. The revocation is required whilst new utility connection works are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Fitzroy Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 2 March 2018 until Tuesday 6 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Fitzroy Street, between its junctions with Winchester Park Road and Grove Road. The alternative route is Grove Road, Broadway and Winchester Park Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Denmark Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 5 March 2018 until Wednesday 7 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Denmark Road, between its junctions with St Marys Road and Granville Road Bridge. The alternative route is Denmark Road, Cross Street, St Marys Road, Victoria Road, Granville Road and Granville Road Bridge.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Hillis Gate Road, Northwood, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 2 March 2018 until Tuesday 6 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Hillis Gate Road, between its junctions with Noke Common Road and Rolls Hill. The alternative route is Pallance Road, Nodes Road, Newport Road, Cowes Road and Noke Common.  The closure is required for ditching works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Medina Way, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 1930 hours and 2300 hours from Tuesday 6 March 2018 until Thursday 8 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Medina Way, between its junctions with the southbound slip road and Coppins Bridge. The alternative route is Riverway, Holyrood Street, and High Street.  The closure is required for streetlight repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Royal Exchange, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 5 March 2018 until Wednesday 7 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Royal Exchange, between its junctions with School Lane and Furrlongs. The alternative route is School Lane, Staplers Road and Furrlongs.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Halberry Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0930 hours and 1530 hours from Monday 5 March 2018 until Wednesday 7 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Halberry Lane, between its junctions with Atkinson Drive and Fairlee Road. The alternative route is Fairlee Road, Staplers Road and Cross Lane.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Church Hollow, Godshill, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 5 March 2018 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 28 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Church Hollow, between its junctions with High Street and Church Hill. The alternative route is High Street and Church Hill.  The closure is required for emergency repairs to a thatched roof.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Carisbrooke, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Tuesday 6 March 2018 until 1700 hours on Friday 9 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along High Street, between its junctions with Priory Road and School Lane.  The alternative route is Priory Road, Gunville Road, Forest Road, Yarmouth Road, Elm Lane, B3401 Calbourne Road and High Street.  The closure is required for a new utility connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Woodland Grove, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 5 March 2018 until 1700 hours on Monday 12 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Woodland Grove, between its junctions with High Street and the end of the highway.  The alternative route is Heathfield Road, Mitten Road, Foreland Road and High Street.  The closure is required for new frame and cover works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Crossways Road, East Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0700 hours and 1700 hours each day from Monday 12 March 2018 until Friday 30 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Crossways Road, between its junctions with Whippingham Road and Beatrice Avenue.  The alternative route is Beatrice Avenue, Saunders Way and Whippingham Road.  The closure is required for footway reconstruction and resurfacing works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that on approximately 5 to 10 days and nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following roads.

The closures are for carriageway repairs and resurfacing works between Friday 2 March and Friday 6 April 2018. Access for residents will be restricted but maintained where possible. The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Beech Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between Ash Road to the end of the highway. There is no alternative route.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Halletts Shute, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between Bridge Road and Pixley Hill. The alternative route is River Road, Tennyson Road, Thorley Road, Wilmingham Road, Newport Road, Afton Road, School Green Road, The Avenue, Colwell Road, Hill Lane.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Colwell Road, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between The Avenue and Heathfield Road. The alternative route is The Avenue, Princes Road, Silcombe Lane and Heathfield Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Alexandra Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between East Hill Road and St Johns Hill. The alternative route is a) HGV Diversion Route from Binstead – Queen’s Road, West Street, Lind Street, Union Street, Esplanade, East Hill Road; b) HGV from Great Preston Road – St John’s Hill, St John’s Road, Green Street, West Street, Lind Street, Union Street, Esplanade, East Hill Road;                                                                                             c) Light Traffic – Alexandra Road, Great Preston Road, Marlborough Road, Appley Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Hill, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between Monkton Street and High Street. The alternative route is a) HGV – Queen’s Road, West Street, Lind Street, Union Street, Esplanade, East Hill Road; b) Light Traffic – High Street, Harding Road, Great Preston Road, Alexandra Road, East Hill Road, Esplanade, George Street, Cross Street, High Street, Garfield Road, Victoria Street, John Street.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Great Preston Road and Alexandra Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between Gassiot Green Road and Harding Road. The alternative route is a) HGV – Great Preston Road, Marlborough Road, Appley Road; b) Light Traffic – Marlborough Road, Appley Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Sandown Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between Cemetery Road and Wilton Park Road. The alternative route is a) HGV – Ventnor Road, Canteen Road, Shanklin Road, Victoria Avenue, High Street, North Road, Arthurs Hill; b) Normal Traffic, Wilton Park Road, Atherley Road, North Road, High Street, Victoria Avenue, Shanklin Road, Canteen Road, Ventnor Road, Newport Road, Sandown Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Landguard Road, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2018 – will be closed between High Street and Collingwood Road. The alternative route is Collingwood Road, Brook Road, St Johns Road and Victoria Avenue.

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Tuesday 27 February 2018 until 1630 hours on Friday 2 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Green Street, between its junctions with West Street and Mount Street.  The alternative route is West Street, Lind Street, Union Street, Esplanade, East Hill Road, St Johns Hill and High Street.  The closure is required for a new utility connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Trafalgar Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one night between 1900 hours and 0600 hours from Thursday 1 March 2018 and Saturday 3 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Trafalgar Road, between its junctions with New Street and West Street.  The alternative route is a) Church Litten, South Street, St James Street, Pyle Street and Carisbrooke Road; b) Carisbrooke Road, High Street, Coppins Bridge, East Street, South Street and St James Street.  The closure is required for utility frame and cover replacement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Holyrood Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 26 February 2018 until 1600 hours on Wednesday 28 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Holyrood Street, between its junctions with Lugley Street and High Street.  The alternative route is Lugley Street, St James Street and High Street.  The closure is required for a new utility connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Oakhill Road, Seaview, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Wednesday 28 February 2018 until 1600 hours on Friday 2 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Oakhill Road, between its junctions with Calthorpe Road and Duver Road.  The alternative route is Springvale Road, Puckpool Hill and Calthorpe Road.  The closure is required for a new utility connection.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Atherfield Road, Shorwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours and 1800 hours each day between Monday 26 February 2018 and Thursday 29 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Atherfield Road, between its junctions with Pyle Shute and Atherfield Farm.  The alternative route will be signposted locally.  The closure is required for drainage works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cliff Road, Totland, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 26 February 2018 until 1800 on Friday 23 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cliff Road, between its junctions with Madeira Road and Eden Road.  The alternative route will be Alum Bay New Road, Church Hill, Madeira Road.  The closure is required for drainage works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Nelson Lane, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Monday 26 February 2018 until 1700 on Monday 5 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Nelson Lane, between its junctions with Esplanade and Castle Street.  There is no alternative route. The closure is required for utility sewer repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Gotten Lane, Chale, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 23 February 2018 until Tuesday 27 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Gotten Lane, between its junctions with Chale Street and the end of the highway.  There is no alternative route. The closure is required for ditching works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Standen Avenue, Newport Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 23 February 2018 until Tuesday 27 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Standen Avenue, between its junctions with Forest Road and Forest End.  The alternative route is Standen Avenue, High Road, Clissold Road, Medina Way and Forest Road The closure is required for ditching works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Clatterford Shute, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 23 February 2018 until Tuesday 27 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Clatterford Shute between its junctions with Bowcombe Road and Millers Lane.  The alternative route is Froglands Lane, Whitcombe Road, Cedar Hill, Carisbrooke High Street and Clatterford Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Marks Corner Village Road, Calbourne, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 23 February 2018 until Tuesday 27 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Marks Corner Village Road, between its junctions with Hillis Gate Road and the end of the highway.  There is no alternative route.  The closure is required for ditching works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (New Road, Wootton, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 26 February 2018 until Wednesday 28 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along New Road, between its junctions with St Edmunds Walk and the end of the highway.  There is no alternative route.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Johns Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 26 February 2018 until Wednesday 28 February 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along St Johns Road, between its junctions with Cypress Road and Shide Road.  The alternative route is Cypress Road, Queens Road and Shide Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (St Albans Steps, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 1 2018

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Monday 26 February 2018 until Friday 16 March 2018, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall proceed along St Albans Steps, between its junctions with St Albans Gardens and Gills Cliff Road.  The alternative route is Zig Zag Road, Gills Cliff Road and Ocean View Road.  The closure is required for repairs to the retaining wall.
