TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 20th January 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Clatterford Shute, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0900 hours on Monday 30th January 2017 until 1630 hours on Friday 3rd February 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Clatterford Shute from its junction with Clatterford Road to its junction with Millers Lane. The alternative route will be Millers Lane, Castle Lane, Castle Hill, Cedar Hill, High Street and Clatterford Road. The road closure is required for a new utility connection.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (Shide Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary One-Way Restriction) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0001 hours on Monday 23rd January 2017 until 1700 hours on Friday 31st March 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the Isle of Wight Council will temporarily introduce a one-way restriction in Shide Road from its junction with St Georges Way to its junction with Medina Avenue in a south-east to north-west direction. The one-way restriction is required in connection with road improvement works in the Pan / St Georges area.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Niton Road, Rookley, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0900 hours on Monday 23rd January 2017 until 1600 hours on Wednesday 25th January 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Niton Road from its junction with Harts Lane to its junction with Chequers Inn Road. The alternative route will be Main Road (Rookley) and Chequers Inn Road. The road closure is required for utility connection works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Westhill Lane, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours on Friday 20th January 2017 until 1800 hours on Friday 31st March 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Westhill Lane from its junction with Hammond Close to the end of the public highway. There is no alternative route. The road closure is required for geotechnical improvement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Holyrood Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0900 hours on Monday 23rd January 2017 until 1700 hours on Friday 27th January 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Holyrood Street from its junction with High Street to a point 28 metres north thereof. The alternative route will be Quay Street, Holyrood Street, Lugley Street and High Street. The road closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Betty Haunt Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0930 hours on Monday 23rd January 2017 until 1530 hours on Thursday 2nd February 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Betty Haunt Lane from its junction with Forest Road to its junction with Calbourne Road. The alternative route will be Calbourne Road, Priory Road, Gunville Road and Forest Road. The road closure is required for safety barrier repair works.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• Isle of Wight Council (Lower Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours until 1600 hours on any two days between Friday 27th January 2017 until Tuesday 31st January 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Road, Brading, from its junction with Well Lane to its junction with Longwood Lane.  The alternative route is Well Lane, Upper Road, Lower Road.  The road closure is required for ditch maintenance works.

• Isle of Wight Council (Argyll Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for any three days from 0900 hours on Monday 30th January 2017 until 1600 hours on Friday 3rd February 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Argyll Street, Ryde, from its junction with West Street and its junction with Pellhurst Road.  The alternative routes are a) West Street, Queens Road, Pellhurst Road, b) Queens Road, West Street, Lind Street, Union Street, The Esplanade, East Hill Road, Alexandra Road, St Johns Hill, St Johns Road, Green Street.  The road closure is required for carriageway repairs.

• Isle of Wight Council (Avenue Road/High Street, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0600 hours on Friday 27th January 2017 until 1800 hours Friday 31st March 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along 1) Avenue Road, from its junction with Princes Road to its junction with High Street and 2) High Street, from its junction with Avenue Road to its junction with School Green Road.  The alternative route will be School Green Road, Hooke Hill, Copse Lane, Pixley Hill, A3054 Hill Lane, Colwell Road and The Avenue. The closure is required for carriageway resurfacing preparation works and kerbing.

• Isle of Wight Council (Tennyson Road, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that that between 0600 hours on Friday 27th January 2017 until 1800 hours Friday 31st March 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is sooner, The Isle of Wight Council will temporarily revoke the One-Way restriction on Tennyson Road from its junction with School Green Road to its junction with Princes Road.  The revocation is required to allow access during the Avenue Road road closure.

• Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that that between 0600 hours on Friday 27th January 2017 until 1800 hours Friday 31st March 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is sooner, The Isle of Wight Council will temporarily revoke the One-Way restriction on High Street from its junction with Sunset Close to its junction with Heathfield Road.  The revocation is required to allow access during the Avenue Road road closure.
