TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 26th May 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Public Bridleways Y19 and F61, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians, Equestrian and Cyclists) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0600 hours on Monday 5 June 2017 until 1800 hours on Monday 17 July 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any pedestrian, equestrian or cyclist to proceed along Public Bridleway Y19 / F61 from its junction with Public Footpath Y1 to its junction with Public Footpath F24. The alternative route will be Public Bridleway Y19, Thorley Road, Wilmingham Lane, Public Bridleway F25 and The Causeway. The closure is required for bridge improvement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Sherbourne Street and High Street, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) (Traffic Regulation) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one night from 1930 hours and 2300 hours between Friday 2 June 2017 and Tuesday 5 June 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, a temporary No Waiting At Any Time parking restriction will be introduced along Sherbourne Street and High Street, on both sides, from its junction with Ducie Avenue to its junction with Foreland Road.  No Waiting Cones will indicate the extents required on site.  No alternative route is required. The restriction is required for the avoidance of a road closure whilst carriageway repairs are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Public Footpath F60, Compton Steps, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0730 hours on Tuesday 6 June 2017 until 1730 hours on Friday 14 July 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any other person to proceed along Public Footpath F60, Compton Steps, from its junction with Public Footpath F35 to the beach. No Access to the beach will be permitted during this time.  The alternative route for F60 will be via Public Footpath BS103 or Public Footpath F68. The restriction is required in connection with drainage outfall repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Hillrise Avenue, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0730 hours on Monday 5 June 2017 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 7 June 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Hillrise Avenue, from its junction with Dame Anthony’s Close to its junction with Pellview Close.  The alternative route is Hillrise Avenue, Trafalgar Drive, Wellington Road, Jellicoe Road, Ringwood Road and Binstead Lodge Road.  The closure is required for utility repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following roads.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 2 June 2017 and Friday 14 July 2017. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Marvel Lane, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017 – will be closed from Sandy Lane to Whitepit Lane.  The alternative route will be Watergate Road, Shide Road, Blackwater Road, Blackwater Hollow and Sandy Lane.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Watery Lane, Newchurch, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017 – will be closed from Harbors Lake Lane to Hale Common.  The alternative route will be Hale Common, Winford Road and Watery Lane.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following roads.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 2 June 2017 and Friday 17 July 2017. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017 – Will be closed from Somerton Roundabout to Mill Hill Road. The alternative route will be Mill Hill Road, Victoria Road, Park Road, Place Road and Nodes Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2017 – Will be closed from Somerton Roundabout to Nodes Road. The alternative route will be Nodes Road, Place Road and Three Gates Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Blackwater Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017 – Will be closed from Shide Road to Blackwater Shute. The alternative route will be A3020 Sandown Road, Arreton Road, Downend Road, Long Lane, Staplers Road, Snooks Hill, Coppins Bridge roundabout and St Georges Way.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984:-

• The Isle of Wight Council (Public Footpath V88a, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for two days from 0730 hours until 1600 hour from Friday 26 May 2017 and Tuesday 30 May 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Public Footpath V88a, Ventnor, from its junction with Love Lane to its junction with Steephill Cove.  The alternative route is Love Lane, Steephill Road, Public Footpath V85,V86,V87.  The closure is required for repair works to steps.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cavendish Place, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0730 hours on Monday 29 May 2017 until 1700 hours on Wednesday 7 June 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cavendish Place, from its junction with Clifford Street to its junction with Alexandra Lane.  The alternative route is Clifford Street, Drill Hall Road and Alexandra Lane.  The closure is required for utility repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (New Road, Gatcombe, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Tuesday 30 May 2017 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 2 June 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along New Road, from its junction with Loverstone Lane to its junction with Sandy Lane.  The alternative route is a) Whitcombe Road, Whitepit Lane, Shide Road, Blackwater Road, Blackwater Hollow and Highwood Lane; b) Highwood Lane, Blackwater Hollow, Blackwater Road, St Georges Way, St Georges Approach, Medina Avenue, St Johns Place, Trafalgar Road, Carisbrooke Road, Cedar Hill and Whitcombe Road.  The closure is required for carriageway investigation works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following roads.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 26 May 2017 and Friday 7 July 2017. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Noke Common Road, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017 – will be closed from Horsebridge Hill to Parkhurst Forest Access Road.  The alternative route will be Horsebridge Hill, Newport Road, Nodes Road, Pallance Road, Rolls Hill Road, Little Whitehouse Road, Whitehouse Road, Forest Road, St Marys Roundabout and Parkhurst Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Pound Lane and Five Houses Lane, Calbourne, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017 – will be closed from Elm Lane to Yarmouth Road.  The alternative route will be Yarmouth Road and Elm Lane.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following roads.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 26 May 2017 and Friday 7 July 2017. • The Isle of Wight Council (Hill Lane, Freshwater, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017 – Will be closed from Pixley Hill to Heathfield Road. The alternative route will be Halletts Shute, Yarmouth Road, River Road, Tennyson Road, Thorley Road, Wilmingham Lane, Newport Road, Afton Road, School Green Road, Tennyson Road (east to west direction), Avenue Road (west to east direction), The Avenue and Colwell Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Sun Hill and Calbourne Road, Calbourne, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017 – Will be closed from Rowridge Lane to Lynch Lane. The alternative route will be Calbourne Road, High Street, Priory Road, Gunville Road, Forest Road, A3054 Yarmouth Road, Ningwood Hill, Bouldnor Road, Thorley Road, Wilmingham Lane and Newport Road.

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council, under Section 16 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours until 1700 hours on Monday 29 May 2017, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any non-event related vehicle to proceed along the High Street, Bembridge from Grange Gardens to Church Road.  The closure is required for safety during the Bembridge Street Fair. The diversion will be Foreland Road, Steyne Road, Mill Road and High Street.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic, Clearway and Hackney Carriage Stand) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0600 hours on Thursday 1 June 2017 until 1830 hours on Sunday 4 June 2017, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road for their entire lengths; St James Square, Market Square, Pier Street, Quay Street and The Quay. The Isle of Wight Council will introduce a Temporary Clearway Order along the following lengths of road: a) B3401 Thorley Road, between its junction with A3054 Bouldnor Road and its junction with Wilmingham Lane; b) A3054 Halletts Shute, from its junction with Westhill Lane to its junction with Norton Grange Access Road and c) A3054 Bouldnor Road, from its junction with B3401 for a distance of 142m in a westward direction. The Isle of Wight Council will introduce a Temporary Hackney Carriage Stand Order on Bridge Road, on the southeast side from a point 30 metres southwest of the junction with River Road, for a distance of 30 metres southwest. The order is required for public safety and the free flow of traffic for the Yarmouth Old Gaffers Festival. The diversion will be St James Street, Bridge Road and River Road.
