TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 17th November 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Chapel Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 1930 hours and 2300 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Chapel Street, between its junctions with St James Street and Union Street. The alternative route is New Street, High Street, Coppins Bridge, East Street and South Street. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Brook Road, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Brook Road, between its junctions with Church Lane and Pitt Place Lane. The alternative route is Brook Road, B3399, Brook Village Road, Military Road, Grange Road, New Road, Main Road and Hunny Hill. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Station Road, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Station Road, between its junctions with Nunwell Street and Park Mews. The alternative route is Nunwell Street and Station Avenue. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (West Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Tuesday 28 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along West Street, between its junctions with Spencer Road and Lind Street. The alternative route is Lind Street, Union Street and Spencer Road. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Longwood Lane, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Tuesday 28 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Longwood Lane, between its junctions with Lower Road and Golf Links Road. The alternative route is Adgestone Road, Hornsey Rise, Morton Road, Morton Common, Perowne Way, Station Approach, The Fairway and Golf Links Road. The closure is for drainage works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Lower Road, Brading, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 6 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Lower Road, between its junctions with Longwood Lane and Well Lane. The alternative route is Luccombe Road and Priory Road. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cedar Drive, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Cedar Drive, between its junctions with Whitecross Lane and Whitecross Avenue. The alternative route is Sandy Lane, Princes Road and Whitecross Avenue. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Nunwell Street, Sandown, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Nunwell Street, between its junctions with Elmbank Gardens and Melville Street. The alternative route is Melville Street, Broadway and Station Avenue. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Upper Lane, Brighstone, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 24 November 2017 and Thursday 30 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Upper Lane, between its junctions with Moortown Lane and Limerstone Road. The alternative route is Moortown Lane and Main Road. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 24 November 2017 and Friday 5 January 2018. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Puckpool Hill, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 3 2017 – will be closed between Appley Road and Springvale Road.  The alternative route is Springvale Road, Duver Road, Bluett Avenue, Seafield Road, Church Street, Steyne Road, Seaview Lane, Nettlestone Hill, Pondwell Hill and Calthorpe Road.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Madeira Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 3 2017 – will be closed between Trinity Road and Bonchurch Village Road.  The alternative route is Trinity Road.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1830 hours and 0600 hours on approximately 5 to 10 nights, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 24 November 2017 and Friday 5 January 2018. It may be necessary to close this section of road on more than one occasion within this timeframe.  The exact dates of the works will be confirmed on the Island Roads website at www.islandroads.com or ring on 01983 822440:

• The Isle of Wight Council (Sea Street, Newport, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2017 – will be closed between Holyrood Street and Quay Street. The alternative route is Quay Street, High Street, Coppins Bridge, River Way and Holyrood Street.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 7 2017 – will be closed between Three Gates Road and Mill Hill Road. The alternative route is Mill Hill Road, Victoria Road, Park Road, Place Road and Three Gates Road.

Notice is hereby given that the following Orders have been made under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Green Lane, Shanklin, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0930 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 17 November 2017 and Tuesday 21 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Green Lane, between its junctions with Oaklyn Gardens (northern junction) and Coronation Gardens.  The alternative route is Green Lane, Landguard Manor Road, Sandy Lane, Whitecross Lane, Newport Road, Sandown Road and Cemetery Road. The closure is for carriageway investigation and repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Zig Zag Steps, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Friday 17 November 2017 and Tuesday 21 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any pedestrian to proceed along Zig Zag Steps, between its junctions with Cliff Road and Baring Road.  The alternative route is Baring Road, Egypt Hill, Queens Road and Mornington Road. The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary No Waiting At Any Time) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice from 1830 hours on Friday 17 November 2017 until 0630 hours on Friday 29 December 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to wait or park along a) High Street, on both sides between Sherbourne Street and Church Road b) Church Road, on both sides between High Street and Sherbourne Street and c) Sherbourne Street, on both sides, between Church Road and High Street.   The restriction is required whilst the resurfacing works are undertaken in these lengths of roads.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice from 1830 hours on Friday 17 November 2017 until 0630 hours on Friday 29 December 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the one-way restrictions will be temporarily revoked along a) High Street between Sherbourne Street and Church Road b) Church Road between High Street and Sherbourne Street and c) Sherbourne Street between Church Road and High Street.   The revocation is required whilst the resurfacing works are undertaken in these lengths of roads.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Marsh Road and Rew Street, Gurnard, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0930 hours and 1530 hours from Monday 20 November 2017 and Wednesday 22 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Marsh Road and Rew Street, between its junctions with Westview Road and Solent View Road.  The alternative route is Rew Street, Pallance Road, Place Road, Tuttons Hill, Church Road and Lower Church Road.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Victoria Road, Cowes, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 4 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice from 0700 hours on Tuesday 21st November 2017 and 1700 hours on Thursday 23 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Victoria Road, between its junctions with Mill Hill Road and Stones Close.  The alternative route is Park Road, Place Road, Three Gates Road, Newport Road and Mill Hill Road.  The closure is for utility frame and cover replacement works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (NCN23, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrian, Equestrian and Cyclists) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 hours on Monday 20th November 2017 until 1600 hours on Friday 24 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any pedestrian, equestrian or cyclists to proceed along NCN23, between its junctions with Hale Common and Merstone Lane.  The alternative route is Hale Common, Arreton Street, Arreton Road and Merstone Lane.  The closure is for footpath resurfacing works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (High Street, Whitwell, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice from 0900 hours on Monday 20 November 2017 until 1600 hours on Tuesday 19 December 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along High Street, between its junctions with Kemming Road and Bannock Road.  The alternative route is Godshill Road, Whitwell Road, West Street, School Road, A3020, B3327, Gills Cliff Road, Whitwell Road and Ventnor Road.  The closure is for utility water main renewal works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Bembridge, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2017 – High Street will be closed between Sherbourne Street to a point 80 metres south-west of its junction with Dennett Road; Church Road will be closed between High Street and Sherbourne Street and Sherbourne Street will be closed between Church Road and High Street. The alternative route is Kings Road, Embankment Road, Station Road, Carpenters Road, Rowborough Lane, Brading High Street, New Road, Marshcombe Shute and Sandown Road.
