TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ORDERS

Date effective: Friday 22nd September 2017

Notice is hereby given that the Isle of Wight Council in not less than seven days from the appearance of this Notice, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, proposes to make the following Orders: –

• The Isle of Wight Council (Church Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0900 on Monday 2 October 2017 until 1600 hours on Friday 6 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Church Street between its junction with High Street and Hambrough Road. The alternative route is High Street, Spring Hill, Mitchell Avenue, Ocean View Road, Gills Cliff Road, Zig Zag Road and Alpine Road. The closure is required for a new utility connection works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Circular Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Friday 29 September 2017 and Tuesday 3 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Circular Road, between its junction with Marlborough Road and its junction with Hope Road.  The alternative route is Hope Road and Marlborough Road.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Newport Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 4 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Friday 29 September 2017 and Tuesday 3 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Newport Street, between its junction with Station Street and its junction with West Street. The alternative route is West Street, Green Street and Station Street.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Park Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Tuesday 3 October 2017 and Thursday 5 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Park Road, between its junction with Daniel Street and Monkton Street. The alternative route is Park Road, Benett Street, St Johns Road and Monkton Street.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (The Diggings, St Helens, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Wednesday 4 October 2017 and Friday 6 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along The Diggings, between its junction with Upper Green Road and Field Lane. The alternative route is Field Lane and Upper Green Road.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Monkton Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 3 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Tuesday 3 October 2017 and Thursday 5 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Monkton Street, between its junctions with Park Road and St Johns Road. The alternative route is Park Road, Bennett Street and St Johns Road.  The closure is for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bridge Road, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Monday 2 October 2017 and Tuesday 3 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bridge Road, between its junctions with River Road and Halletts Shute. The alternative route is A3054 Bridge Road, River Road, Tennyson Road and Bouldnor Road, B3401 Thorley Road, Wilmingham Lane, B3399 Newport Road, A3055 Afton Road, School Green Road, Tennyson Road and The Avenue, A3054 Colwell Road, Hill Lane and Halletts Shute. Light traffic up to 6ft 6in in width can also use Hooke Hill, Copse Lane and Pixley Hill.  The closure is for bridge maintenance works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (NCN23, Newport, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Cyclists and Pedestrians) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day from 0900 hours and 1600 hours between Monday 2 October 2017 and Wednesday 4 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any cycle or pedestrian to proceed along NCN23, between its junctions with Shide Road and Blackwater Hollow. The alternative route is Blackwater Hollow, Blackwater Road and Shide Road.  The closure is for surface repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Esplanade, Sandown, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 02 October 2017 until 1700 hours Sunday 12 November, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Esplanade, Sandown, from its junction with Pier Street to its junction with Esplanade Road.  The alternative route is Beachfield Road, Broadway, Station Avenue, Albert Road, Victoria Road, High Street and Esplanade Road.  The closure is for public safety during demolition works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Esplanade, Sandown, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Revocation of One-Way Restriction) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 02 October 2017 until 1700 hours on Sunday 12 November 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the One-Way restriction will be temporarily revoked on Esplanade, Sandown, between its junction with Pier Street to its junction with Esplanade Road.  This is to allow for access during the closure in place for public safety during demolition works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Public Footpath SS73, Shanklin, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Pedestrians) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of The Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0700 hours on Wednesday 04 October 2017 until 1700 hours on Thursday 10 October, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall proceed along Public Footpath SS73, known as Osborne Steps, from its junction with Esplanade, Sandown, and Osborne Road.  The alternative route is Esplanade and Public Footpath SS72.  The closure is required for utility maintenance works.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 0630 hours and 1800 hours on approximately 5 to 10 days, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner; that no vehicle or person may use, or cause any animal to use the following roads; and that no vehicle is permitted to wait on the following roads or within 50 metres on any adjoining side road where indicated by traffic signs.

The closures are for carriageway and footway repairs, resurfacing, drainage works, verge maintenance and kerbing works between Friday 29th September 2017 and Friday 10th November 2017. • The Isle of Wight Council (Main Road, Thorley and Thorley Street, Yarmouth, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Road Closure and Parking Restriction) Order No 1 2017 – will be closed between Thorley Road and Wellow Top Road.  The alternative route is Main Road, Wellow, Wellow Road, Station Road, A3054 Main Road, Shalfleet, A3054 Ningwood Hill, A3054 Yarmouth Road, A3054 Bouldnor Road and Thorley Road.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 22 September 2017 until Tuesday 26 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Seldon Avenue between its junction with Marina Avenue and its junction with Marina Avenue. The alternative route is Marina Avenue. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Nelson Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 22 September 2017 until Tuesday 26 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Nelson Street between its junction with Castle Street and its junction with Melville Street. The alternative route is Castle Street, George Street, and Melville Street. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Bellevue Road, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 3 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 22 September 2017 until Tuesday 26 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Bellevue Road between its junction with Nelson Street and its junction with Dover Street. The alternative route is Nelson Place, Melville Street, Dover Street. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Wood Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 22 September 2017 until Tuesday 26 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Wood Street between its junction with Vernon Square and its Junction with Dover Street. The alternative route is Vernon Square, Melville Street, Dover Street. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (South Street, Ryde, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 5 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Friday 22 September 2017 until Tuesday 26 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along South Street between its junctions with Albert Street and its junction with Prince Street. The alternative route is Prince Street, Well Street, Quarry Road St Johns Road, Albert Street. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Old Park Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 27 September 2017 until Friday 29 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Old Park Road between its junctions with Woolverton Road and its junction with Hunts Road. There is no alternative route. The closure is required for carriageway repair works

• The Isle of Wight Council (Woolverton Road, Ventnor, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 2 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 and 1600 hours from Wednesday 27 September 2017 until Friday 29 September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Woolverton Road between its junctions with Old Park Road and its junction with Undercliff Drive. The alternative route is Undercliff Drive; Old Park Road. The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Various Streets, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 25 September 2017 until 1800 hours on Friday 23 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along a) Ranelagh Road between its junction with Cliff Road to a point 30 metres west thereof; b) Cliff Road between a point 30 metres north-east of Ranelagh Road to its junction with Cliff Path; c) Cliff Path between its junction with Cliff Road to a point 25 metres south of thereof. The alternative route for pedestrians is Cliff Road, Currie Road, Ranelagh Road, Cliff Way, Araluen Way and Cliff Gardens and for vehicles Currie Road and Ranelagh Road. The closure is required for highway safety works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Cliff Road, Lake, Isle of Wight) (Temporary Revocation of One-Way) Order No 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that from 0800 hours on Monday 25 September 2017 until 1800 hours on Friday 23 October 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, the one-way restriction will be temporarily revoked along Cliff Road between its junction with Currie Road to a point 30 metres north-east of Ranelagh Road. The revocation is required to allow access to premises and businesses whilst highway safety works are undertaken.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Church Road, Havenstreet, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Prohibition of Through Traffic) Order 1 2017

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that for one day between 0900 hours and 1600 hours from Tuesday 26th September 2017 and Thursday 28th September 2017, or when the works have been completed, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along Church Road, Havenstreet, from its junction with Havenstreet Main Road, and its junction with Pondcast Lane.  The alternative route is Havenstreet Main Road and Church Road.  The closure is required for carriageway repair works.

• The Isle of Wight Council (Dudley Road and Victoria Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight)(Temporary Revocation of One Way) Order No 1 2017 –  Dudley Road will be revoked between Victoria Street and Albert Street.  Victoria Street will be revoked between Albert Street and Dudley Road.

• Isle of Wight Council (Victoria Street, Ventnor, Isle of Wight)(Temporary No Waiting at Any Time) Order No 1 2017 – No person shall cause any vehicle to wait at any time on Victoria Street from its junction with Albert Street to its junction with Dudley Road.

Island Roads on behalf of the Isle of Wight Council give notice that between 1030 hours and 1500 hours on Saturday 23rd September 2017, or when the event has finished, whichever is the sooner, no person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along the following lengths of road; Dover Street, Park Road, Star Street, High Street, Union Street, Esplanade, East Hill Road and West Hill Road.  The closure is required for public safety during the Isle of Wight Day Parade.  The alternative route will be signposted locally.
