THUNDEROUS SOUND OF 2 MALE VOICE CHOIRS FILLED TOTLAND CHURCH

273

The magical and thunderous sound of 76 voices filled Christ Church, Totland on Saturday (30th September) as Newchurch Male Voice Choir and Mendip Male Voice Choir came together for a concert to remember.

The venue was full to capacity and rightly so, with members of the audience ‘blown away’ with the quality of the sound and the concert as a whole.

A joint performance of Elvis Presley’s American Trilogy brought the evening to a close.

Bob Cooper for the Newchurch Male Voice Choir said:

“What a privilege it was to be part of this concert and to sing with the Mendip MVC members. I have never had so many positive comments made about a concert as I received that evening. It was wonderful how the organ joining in that final number sounded.

“We wish to say a very big thank you to the staff of Christ Church, Totland for their hospitality”.

Whilst on their visit to the Island the Mendip Choir also performed a concert at Christ Church, Sandown on the Friday night and at Warners, Bembridge on Sunday.

In all 3 concerts they were joined by Soprano Hannah Drury.
